I remember myself sitting in the lecture room during the break in 2013, playing sort of «Candy crush» or «Jewell» puzzle game on my old but gold iPad mini. At that time I was a university student starving for money with no clear opportunities to get paid. And I also remember how I laughed in my mind at the idea of getting paid for playing games.
Well, it’s 2022 and we have gaming streams, cyber-sport and virtual gambling platforms. I got that flashback about my student years at the moment I saw Viking Runecraft, which is very similar to «Jewell» puzzles but can actually be profitable. I’ve spent some time playing this slot and here’s my personal experience.
Design
They say: «A good dress is a card of invitation…». That’s why I always rate the design and visual part first. And this part is well-done. It just makes you enjoy spinning, watching this animations to finish and feeling excitement while waiting for the desirable symbols explosion.
The 7x7 grid and the entire HUD are stylised with Viking runes, gods and mythical creatures. The resolution and visual effects are also quite good and remarkable, giving smooth visual experience both on my iPhone X and MacBook Pro.
